About me

My name is Maria Geijer and I am a Swedish contemporary artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. I work primarily with abstract painting. My work explores colour, movement, texture and organic forms, often inspired by nature, water and shifting light.

I work intuitively with layers of acrylic on canvas, creating paintings that leave space for association and emotion — and for the viewer’s own interpretation and experience.
